As COVID-19 brought all our lives to a grinding halt, many had to reinvent themselves in order to survive. Storefronts shuttered overnight and thousands lost their jobs to no fault of their own. Recognizing the opportunity to support those in need, PayPal stepped in to support Melba’s in Harlem. Using their contactless payment technology, Melba’s was able to bring back her team in one of the most affected areas in New York City.

This inspiring story of resilience, hope, and partnership served as the foundation for the small businesses to lean into as they reimagined how they do business in these trying times.
